About this pack

The extended-licence edition of volume 17: thirty procedural plastic smart materials for Substance Painter, with thirty 4K PBR texture sets rendered at 4096 x 4096, licensed for commercial work at any scale.

What you get

  • 30 high-quality plastic smart materials (SPSM)
  • 30 4K plastic PBR texture sets at 4096 x 4096
  • JPEG preview renders
  • Unlimited commercial projects, with no limit on sales or views
  • A grant that covers a company or a team, not a single seat

Plastic is where a lot of prop work quietly falls apart. An injection-moulded surface is almost uniform, and the "almost" is the entire job: the faint mould seams, the way a scuff goes white rather than dark, the difference between a matte housing straight off the line and a polished shell that has been handled for ten years. Thirty stacks with those decisions already made in them is thirty afternoons not spent on a fill layer.

For a studio the licence is usually the reason to be on this page rather than the standard one. It covers an unlimited number of commercial projects with no cap on sales or on views, and it covers teams — more than one person may install and use the pack. There is nothing to renew and nothing to report back.

The delivery is identical either way: SPSM files for Substance Painter and flat 4K sets for everything downstream of it, which for this volume the studio lists as Marmoset, Photoshop and Substance Designer alongside Painter itself. A current version of Substance Painter is required to open the smart materials.

About Smart Materials

Every set in this aisle is built the way I build materials for client work: layered, parametric and non-destructive. Nothing is baked flat, so you can open any material and change the base colour, the wear amount or the roughness breakup without starting over.

Each material ships alongside a rendered 4K PBR texture set — base colour, roughness, metallic, normal and height — so you can use it outside Substance Painter in Blender, Unreal, Unity or any renderer that speaks PBR.
