About this pack

A mace is read almost entirely through its head, which is why fifty of them is not excessive. This volume collects flanged heads, knobbed and spiked heads, ceremonial pieces with cast ornament, and plain crushing weapons on short hafts — the whole blunt-weapon range in one place, so a weapon rack, a loot table or an enemy tier can be filled from a single library instead of assembled model by model.

Inside the pack

  • 50 mace meshes covering heads, hafts and pommels
  • Supplied in both FBX and OBJ
  • Two UV channels unwrapped, ready for the baking process
  • Every mesh under 10k triangles
  • Three archives: FBX, OBJ and a preview render set

These are base meshes, so the detail is deliberately not there yet. What is there is the proportion, the taper of the haft and the mass of the head — the decisions that are painful to change late. Sculpting over them in ZBrush is the common route: subdivide, cut in the casting seams, the nicks and the pitting, then bake the result back onto the original mesh through the second UV channel. Because heads and hafts are modelled as readable, separable forms, moving a head from one design onto the grip of another is a two-minute job and gives you weapons that look related without looking repeated.

Under 10k triangles apiece, they are also usable untouched. A background guard, a wall mount or a physics prop rarely justifies a bespoke model, and at these budgets you can afford several on screen at once. Built in 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya and ZBrush, and released as volume 02 of the base mesh series.

Every purchase includes free lifetime updates and a no-questions-asked 7 day money back guarantee.

About Base Meshes

A base mesh exists to delete the boring part of the job. Everything in this aisle is at real-world scale with quad-dominant topology, sensible edge flow and no ngons where they would cause shading errors — ready to sculpt over, kitbash from, or take straight to UVs.
