70 Crack Alpha — VOL 01

Wear is the slowest thing to fake convincingly. A crack that runs the wrong way across a form, or branches too evenly, reads as a texture rather than as damage, and getting it right by hand costs hours per asset. This is the first volume of a series built to shorten that: 70 crack maps, all captured at 4K and 16-bit.

What you get

The 60 alphas are for placement. Stamp one where a corner has taken a knock, where a render is under stress, or where two materials meet and the edge has failed, and the 16-bit depth means the map can drive a height channel or a displacement without stepping in the shallow parts of the crack.

The ten seamless textures are for coverage. Tile one across a wall, a road surface or a large ceramic piece as a base layer of damage, then break the repeat with a handful of the alphas stamped over the top — that combination is what stops a tiled surface announcing its tile size.

Both sets are supplied as PNG and as TIFF, so whichever of the two your package prefers is already in the archive, and the per-map previews mean you can pick the crack you want by looking rather than by opening 70 files.
